Job descriptionThe Behavioural Science Institute of Radboud University Nijmegen has an opening for a PhD student in the ZonMW-funded project ‘The effectiveness of worktime control interventions in increasing vitality, work-home balance, work motivation and work behaviour’. This project studies the effects of worktime control and self-scheduling on recovery, work-home balance, and work motivation by means of a large-scale monitoring study and quasi-experimental intervention studies within several organizations. The research will be conducted within the Work, Stress & Health research programme of the Behavioural Science Institute (Radboud University Nijmegen), and will be supervised by Prof. Michiel Kompier, Dr. Sabine Geurts and Dr. Debby Beckers. The PhD student and the daily supervisor (Debby Beckers) will regularly organize meetings with other members of the project team (Michiel Kompier and Sabine Geurts, and Dr. Ben Jansen and Dr. Christine Baaijens from the Déhora Consultancy Group). The main task of the PhD student is to conduct research, which implies being responsible for preparing, performing and evaluating the studies described in the research proposal. The research will result in a doctoral thesis to be written by the PhD student. This doctoral thesis will consist of peer-reviewed articles that will be published in high-quality journals.
